The fedora-clad singer sticks to the  formula  that proved successful on Eminem and Royce Da 5’9’s top 5 hit “Lighters,” providing a soulful hook over a somber beat produced by REO of The Soundkillers. Weezy gets personal with his bars, rapping about his father (“Lookin’ at me now I can see my past/ Damn, I look just like my fu**in’ dad”), while taking inspiration from the King of Pop. “And no message could have been any clearer, so I’m starting with the man in the mirror,” he says. “MJ taught me that.”
